District Heating

District heat has been one of the most popular forms of heating in densely populated areas in Finland for already decades. Images and information about this alternative, however, vary a lot. District heat refers to a heating technique where water or steam is heated in a power plant (using for instance natural gas, coal, peat, wood chip or condensed heat of industry), and led to the heat distribution centre of a building, and then returned to the power plant to be heated again. In the heat exchangers of the heat distribution centre a part of the heat energy contained by the district heat water is transferred for the heating of an apartment and for the heating of the service water.

Kaukora Oy has more than 30 years' solid experience of the planning and manufacturing of district heat devices. Jäspi district heat is a safe and reliable option, particularly easy to use, for the heating of a single-family house. There are several heat distribution methods to be connected to district heat, and they vary according to the customer's needs. These needs have been taken into consideration for example in the new package containing three changers, which has been factory connected for two separate heating circuits, e.g. radiator-floor or floor-floor (wet room). Jäspi district heat packages require only a small space, and they can be installed in so-called cabinet solutions.
